Tedoku (flip N roll N write)

1-12+ players // 10 mins // Easy

Easy to learn, setup and play. One person rolls one die and flips one card that everyone uses (so no claiming that you got the bad cards:) Everyone draws the shape shown on the die in the row, column or grid area specified by the card.

Blokus

2-4 players (best with 4) // 20 mins // Easy

The main game board actually has slight ridges to separate the squares in it’s grid, making it easy to play your piece plus make it safe when a table is slightly bumped. Simply play a piece of your color to connect to the corner of any of your pieces on the board… yes, you only connect diagonally, not edge to edge!

Reminds me a bit of the cycle battle in Tron:)

Foundations of Rome (Maximus edition)

One of the most beautiful games yet the complexity is under 2.00 plus there is a cooperative mode. NOTE: 3 or 4 players is the optimal player count! (plus if using objective cards, private is preferred to reduce “cut-throat” aspects)

My City

[note: this is NOT the roll and build version, but the full game]

I just got this game to play with my good friend thousands of miles away (due to the following note):

This can be played by people in other locations who also have the game using Zoom, as per this comment under a YouTube video (and mentioned in the first video below):

Another good point is that it plays well with physical copies across the world, using Skype or whatever, and calling the pieces bingo style!
